Fruit Fire
Sensational spicy fruit salad tossed in brown sugar syrup with a splash of TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce. This is a quite stunning summer dessert with a difference.
Serves: 4
For the syrup:
100g/4oz dark brown sugar
100ml/1/4pt water
good shake TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce
175g/6oz fresh strawberries
175g/6oz fresh raspberries
1 Charentais melon, peeled and cut into chunks
100g/4oz blueberries
4 tbsp Mascarpone
Method:
1. First make the sugar syrup. Place sugar in a pan with water. Bring to boil, then turn down to simmer until it becomes syrupy. Add TABASCO® Sauce. Leave to cool completely.
2. Halve strawberries and place in a bowl with raspberries, melon chunks, and blueberries. Pour over spicy sugar syrup, and serve with a scoop of Mascarpone on the side.
